Don't understand how this place has 3 stars lol. Maybe people are confusing this place for the biz in Steinway under the same name (who is definitely a 3 star biz) or people in Queens don't know how to rate businesses on Yelp.
Las Margaritas in Jackson Heights is such a good place for food and you guessed it, MARGARITAS.
I recommend trying the Margarita de Lulo (pronounced Lue-Low) and for food you cannot go wrong with starting with the quesadilla (I usually go with steak) or calamari, then a "Bandeja Typica" or "Churrasco"
This place has the potential to blow you away, but will certainly win you over to become a regular if you're into good latin cooking and margaritas. -

I came here once when I was in the mood for a margarita and I figured that a restaurant named "Las Margaritas" would make a good one. Ahhh... Maybe they were low on limes or something the day I was there, because what they served me was a glass of neon-colored "margarita mix" with a splash of tequila in it. Now, I know a lot of people who enjoy that, but to me it tastes like a glass of chemicals. I would rather have the tequila straight up, maybe with a sangrita chaser, than have the industrial margarita. So, if you are looking for a freshly made cocktail here, talk to your bartender/server first to make sure that is what you are getting. Giving three stars because I don't want to pick on the establishment when I didn't try the food. I would rate the margaritas... something less than that.

Was in the neighborhood, decided to stop for quick bit and a few drinks. The name itself won me over, I live for margaritas never the less at happy hour price...Winning!!!
I ordered a passion fruit margarita and my mother ordered a passion fruit mojito!! Both were perfectly made with the right amount of kick. For starters we ordered chicharron, house salad, and Buffalo wings.. house salad was old and dry... which made me notice all the garnishes (fruits for drinks) were old too ... not cool guys!! I ordered another passion fruit margarita but this time frozen. Placed our entree orders (Arroz con Mariscos and Chuletas parrilla)
Lets just say I'll be back to enjoy happy hour drinks and wings ... other food not so much!!
My server was extremely attentive and friendly as were the other employees I came in contact with. The restaurant itself was clean and dimly lite.
